With over 40 years of experience, Dan Steiber founded consulting companies Genesis Pharma Consultants and  D2 Pharma Consultants and currently focuses on the commercialization and start-up of existing and emerging pharma organizations and service providers to the industry.  Providing strategic direction to both the "C" Suite and tactical teams, Dan's unique ability is to understand both the big picture and the "devil in the details." Having provided services to over 200 manufacturers over the last 20 years, Dan brings a broad knowledge base to commercialization, new product launch strategies, supply chain optimization -management, payer access, formulary and contracting initiatives and other business development efforts.


Mr. Steiber has served as Executive Vice President for the AmerisourceBergen Specialty Group and General Manager of ICS, a premier third-party logistics organization with $400MM+ in revenues and 250+ associates in his chain of command. Dan's commercial expertise stems from assisting in the launch of hundreds of prescription and specialty products. Serving as Senior Vice President for Bergen Brunswig and later AmerisourceBergen, he had responsibility for all manufacturer relationships and Retail Marketing.

Dan understands pharma sales, having "carried a bag" for Eli Lilly, right out of pharmacy school. 

As Editor in Chief of the leading publication in specialty, Specialty Pharmacy Times, he has authored hundress of articles on specialty pharmacy as well as written a book and a White Paper on the topic of building and managing specialty pharmacy solutions. He continues to develop comprehensive business strategies around the establishment of specialty pharmacies using various models. 


Mr. Steiber has served as a practicing pharmacist, store manager, pharmaceutical buyer, clinical services director, pharmacy marketing leader for Longs Drug Stores, one of America's leading chain drug stores. 

Mr. Steiber's professional affiliations include the Editor-in-Chief for Pharmacy Times Oncology Edition and Specialty Pharmacy Times, Editorial Board of The Pharmacist's Letter, an past elected Board Member of the Texas and Dallas Pharmacists Association and membership in the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), National Association of Chain Drug Stores, Healthcare Distribution  Association and the National Association of Specialty Pharmacists. Mr. Steiber is a frequent speaker on behalf of many professional organizations. 

Dan earned his Pharmacy degree from Washington State University and has attended several executive programs at Northwestern and Harvard Universities. He has been registered pharmacist in California, Washington, Pennsylvania and Texas. He currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona and spends time in Greece.  He is a dual citizen of both the United States and Greece.

  • Lead development and implementation of programs and services that optimize market share-product utilization for the manufacturer across all of AmerisourcBergen's customer segments including retail, health systems, mail-order, specialty pharmacy and long-term care.
